NEPRA HELD PUBLIC HEARING FOR XWDISCOS REQUEST ON QUARTERLY ADJUSTMENTS (QTA); 1ST QUARTER FY2023-24

14 NOVEMBER 2023, KARACHI: NEPRA today conducted a hearing on account of a QTA for the 1st Quarter of 2023-24. The request was filed by XWDISCOS and as per Policy Guidelines issued by the Federal Government, the same cost is to cascade for KE’s customers as well.

NEPRA and the Government of Pakistan, legislate on governing policies and regulations that determines the costs and the method for recovery from consumers under the Uniform Tariff Policy applicable throughout the country. Individual Distribution Companies cannot influence the process or make unilateral changes.

The QTA filed by XWDISCOs is on the account of capacity charges, transmission charges, impact of T&D losses due to FCA and variable operation and maintenance charges.
