Karachi, January 09, 2024: KE will be undertaking a critical maintenance activity at PRL and Gharo Grids on Wednesday, January 10, 2023, to ensure the stability and reliability of power supply to consumers residing in these areas.
The activity requires a shutdown from 09:00 AM to 06:00 PM for PRL Grid and from 10:30 AM to 06:30 PM for Gharo Grid, during which there may be temporary interruption of supply in areas connected to the above-mentioned Grid. Comparing maintenance and technical faults to loadshedding is unfair.

Areas of PRL Grid that may experience power shutdown during the maintenance activity are Sector 32-E, Nasir Colony Area, S-Area R-Area, 32/B Area, Hyderi Goth, T-Area, Y-Area, 40/C, 32-A Area, Al Noor, Colony, Zia Colony, 32/D, Bhittai Colony Cantonment Ind. Area, Godhra Colony, Darus Salam Co-Operative Housing Society and Pak Refinery No 2.
Areas of Gharo Grid that may experience power shutdown during the maintenance activity are Gharo City, N.H.W, Filter Area, Murad Brohi Goth, Khandu Khaskheli Goth, Dadu Goth, Ismail Jokhio Goth, Din M. Shaikh, Adam Goth and Shafiabad Gharo.
