Karachi – September 01, 2016: In line with its commitment to nurture talent and promote sports, K-Electric has pledged to support the second edition of All Karachi Sports Fiesta organized by NED University of Engineering & Technology.
The inter-university sports event, scheduled to be held from 5th to 9th September 2016, will offer host of competitions including cricket, table tennis, squash, throwball, volleyball and many more. Last year more than 20 universities participated in the first edition of this sports fiesta.
According to KE spokesperson, “K-Electric strongly believes in empowering the society and giving back to the community. Being a strong advocate of fostering emerging talent, we will continue our support to channel the positive energy of our youth. Over the years, KE has created various powerful platforms to engage the youth in healthy activities be it sporting events, providing professional exposure to students and encouraging student initiatives.”
Earlier this year, the utility sponsored NED University’s formula style racing car to represent the national flag in Formula SAE. Moreover, KE has also emerged as one of the most preferred employers and offers robust programs in different disciplines for management and engineering trainees. With a strong affiliation with sports, KE has always been at the forefront to nurture youth – providing them with the resources and guidance to inspire future sportsmen. The utility has also been consecutively organizing KE Lyari Football Leagues for the last 5 years to provide the football loving youth of Lyari with a positive platform.
