Karachi 28th March, 2016: At K-Electric, safety of its employees is top priority in the business plan. Besides individual safety awards and other proactive measures taken, a safety competition amongst departments is carried out on annual basis and “Safety Leader Trophy” is awarded to the rightful winners in recognition of their sustained safety performance along with environmental protection measures. In line with this, K-Electric successfully conducted its 6th “Annual Safety Leader” award ceremony on 24th March’16.
The winners amongst the generation plants was KGTPS, Region-IV from Distribution Network, Transmission Department from Grid & Transmission, Public Sector Consumer Department (PSC) from Core Departments and Administration department from Support Department were declared Safety Leaders of 2015.
The winners of the 3rd “Fire Safety & Housekeeping Award” for all KE locations excelling in area cleanliness and adherence to fire safety practices were KE – Civic Center location and IBC – KIMZ for displaying the best housekeeping and fire safety practices.
While congratulating the winners, Tayyab Tareen CEO KE emphasized upon all to ensure “No compromise on Safety” at all levels. He said that at KE we treat Safety as a core business value and urged upon all to make it a part and parcel of daily work. KE is striving upon to become a regional and national leader in Safety and for this to happen all management must ensure that this is part of their business plans. KE is now headed towards its vision of ‘Performance beyond Compliance’ which is creating an accident free atmosphere in the company.
