K Electric Restores Power within few hours of Tripping
Karachi, 29th January 2016: K-Electric has released a statement regarding the power disruption in Karachi when an EHT tripping occurred in Jamshoro during the early hours of Friday. Statement added that this tripping happened due to intense fog in the early hours which caused this disruption in Karachi and its adjoining areas.
K-Electric’s Spokesperson said that the restoration work started immediately and within a few hours most of the Grids were back online. He said that electricity supply resumed from the 220 KV KDA/Jamshoro Transmission line and restoration to strategic installations such as the Airport, Major Hospitals and KWSB installations was prioritized by the teams.
KE’s statement said that most of the residential and commercial areas of the city were restored within a short span of time and K-Electric would like to extend its apologies to its consumers for this inconvenience.
