KARACHI, Oct 15: Karachi Electric Supply Company has announced that after improvement in gas supply by SSGC to KESC’s power generation plants, there would be no load shedding in the City during the three holidays of Eid-ul-Azha, from Oct 16 to Oct 18, like all previous auspicious occasions.
KESC said that by the Eid night, SSGC had started to improve gas supply which would enable all its generation plants to produce optimum quantum of electricity. If the gas supply remained adequate and stable, there would be no load shedding from 8:00 PM Tuesday night till 8:00 AM Saturday morning.
However, there could be localized faults in the power supply system due to some unexpected eventuality which may not be mistaken as load shedding. In case of an outage, KESC advised the citizens to immediately log their complaints with the call Centre 118 or through SMS to 8119.
KESC informed its valued customers that emergency staff would be available at complaint centres to rectify any unexpected fault during Eid days. Hoping that SSGC would continue to supply adequate gas during the holidays, KESC wished a very happy Eid-ul-Azha to all the citizens of Karachi.
